A dishwasher that leaks, will not drain, or has a failed control board sometimes makes more sense to replace than to repair. Our replacement service covers the full job: diagnose the existing unit, advise on whether replacement is the right call, supply or fit the new appliance you choose, and take the old one away. One appointment, one quote.
What is involved
Replacement is a different job from a first-time installation. The cabinetry, plumbing, and electrical are all already in place. The work focuses on:
- Removal. Disconnect water, waste, and power. Slide the old unit out without damaging the kick panel or the surrounding cabinetry. Most older Sydney kitchen installs use builder-grade plumbing fittings that need careful handling.
- Inspection of the existing connections. Worn inlet hoses, perished waste connections, and corroded GPOs are replaced before the new unit goes in. This is where most replacement-job leaks come from later if skipped.
- Cabinetry check. Older 600 mm openings sometimes carry built-up debris on the floor that lifts the new unit. We level the cavity before fitting.
- New unit installation. The new dishwasher is fitted, levelled, secured, and tested through a full cycle before we leave.
When replacement is the honest call
We will tell you replacement is the better option when:
- The repair quote exceeds about 50 percent of a comparable new unit.
- The unit is older than ten years and one of the sealed system components has failed.
- Replacement parts are no longer available from the manufacturer.
- The fault has come back more than once.
Brands we replace
We install every brand sold in Australia: Miele, Bosch, Asko, Smeg, Fisher & Paykel, Westinghouse, Electrolux, NEFF, Gaggenau, Whirlpool, Samsung, LG, and others.
How it works
- Tell us the existing brand and what is happening. We can usually advise repair-or-replace over the phone or email.
- We confirm a visit. Same-week is normally possible.
- We diagnose, quote, and book the replacement. Quote before any work starts.
- We replace on the day. Old unit out, new unit in, paperwork handed over, packaging removed.
