Terms of service

Terms governing your use of the Alpha Home Appliances website and the services we provide.

Last reviewed: 20 May 2026.

These terms govern your use of the Alpha Home Appliances website (alphahomeappliances.com.au) and the appliance-repair services we provide. By using the website or booking a service, you agree to these terms.

About us

Alpha Home Appliances Pty Ltd, based in Alexandria, NSW. We provide home appliance repair, installation, and servicing across Sydney.

Bookings and quotes

  • Service calls. When you book a service call through the website or by phone, you agree to allow our technician access to the appliance at the time agreed.
  • Diagnosis on visit. Our technician diagnoses the fault on the service visit and provides a quote before any repair work begins. You can decline the quote, in which case a callout fee may apply (see below).
  • Callout fees. Where a callout fee applies, you will be advised of the amount before the visit is booked.
  • Estimates vs quotes. Any estimate given before the diagnosis is indicative only. The final quote is given after on-site diagnosis.

Warranty and consumer guarantees

Specific warranty terms for repairs and supplied parts are agreed at the time of quote. Independent of any voluntary warranty, every service we provide comes with the consumer guarantees set out in the Australian Consumer Law (see below).

Australian Consumer Law

Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law (Schedule 2 of the Competition and Consumer Act 2010). Our services come with consumer guarantees that cannot be excluded, including that services will be:

  • provided with due care and skill,
  • fit for any purpose you have told us about, and
  • delivered within a reasonable time.

If a service fails to meet a consumer guarantee, you are entitled to remedies under the law.

Payment

  • Invoices are issued after the repair is complete and are payable on the terms shown on the invoice (typically within 7 days).
  • Property managers and agencies receive invoices to the agency, not the tenant, where this has been agreed.
  • Late payment. Overdue invoices may attract a reasonable late-payment fee. We will notify you before applying one.

Cancellations

You can cancel or reschedule a booked visit by contacting us as soon as possible. A short-notice cancellation (the same day, after the technician has been dispatched) may attract a small cancellation fee, which we will discuss before applying.

Website use

The Alpha Home Appliances website is provided for informational and bookings purposes. The content is provided in good faith but may contain errors or out-of-date information. We make no warranty about the accuracy of third-party information, brand specifications, or pricing referenced on the site.

You agree not to use the website to:

  • attempt unauthorised access to any system,
  • automate large numbers of requests without permission,
  • post or transmit unlawful content through any form on the site.

Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, our liability for any claim arising out of the website or the services we provide is limited to:

  • supplying the service again, or
  • paying for the service to be supplied again.

This does not limit liability for personal injury caused by negligence, or any liability that cannot be excluded under Australian law.

Privacy

Our handling of your personal information is described in our privacy policy.

We may update these terms from time to time. The “last reviewed” date above will be updated when we do. Material changes will be flagged on the home page.
